If entering the US from Canada. what do your Customs expect as proof that the 1887 Lang trigger plate gun is an antique
a letter from Lang, an e-mail from this board, or what?

Aside from documentary evidence of age, just an import permit, I think. You might need an export permit from Canada to get it out though. I think evidence of age would be a letter from the maker, a "serial number list" from an accepted source such as a book or something like that; maybe even a printout of the date code from this site...Geo
