Are you people saying that you are shooting modern, high pressure ammunition in vintage fowlers?
I've never seen a low pressure KTM shell. And I still have cases of the tungsten polymer Federals, and the TP Kent waterfowl loads as well.

From how they feel out of a standing breach shotgun, I can't imagine they are safe to use in a vintage shotgun.

Whats the deal? Are you people using a cut-off date of manufacture to presume these heavy hitters are safe to use?
I have early and late Flues model Ithaca Fowlers (very light and very heavy) that I only use the low pressure ITX shells in, so they see limited use, even though I try to shoot waterfowl every day I can.

Somebody better clue me in here.

Out there doing it best I can.
