I'm not much of a haggler but back in 2001 I found a 12 gauge Parker VH for sale for $1200 at a big sporting goods store just off I-80 in Iowa. I made an offer of $700 and they took it so quick that I kicked myself for not offering less. Like I said earlier, if you don't ask you don't get.
BTW I used the gun every year until 2006 when I sold it for $1000 to a friend who had it restored to like new condition. I only sold it because I'd developed a liking for super light weight guns and at 7.5lbs the Parker was just too darn heavy.
