Experts are equally usually unwilling to believe there is any "real way" other than the way they do it. They tend to argue about the proper way to do it rather than, "Here are the results I get." PS I asked about this constant "brittle as glass" notion and I was confronted with a rolling of the eyes looking to the heavens. This could happen with certain alloys, but not any you are likely to encounter in the gun trade.
