Per your suggestions I contacted Mr. Greener and he was able to answer some of my questions. The gun was made in 1880 for export to the US to meet the rising need of the trap and clay target shooters of the era.
The best advise I got however was that if it was cheap enough to just buy it. $250 certainly was inexpensive to my untraineed eye so I bought it. Never have found out what its market value is.
It's cleaning up really well. A small shim has tightened up the action. The barrels should polish out pretty well and I can get appropriate shells from RST.
Weighs a tad over 8 pounds, barrels are 30". I haven't measured the chokes yet buy I can detect them when cleaning the tubes.
Hammers, 10 gauge, impractical as hell but I think it just may end up joining me turkey hunting next spring.
