Is there anything like compulsory treatment in US? And what needs to be done to do it, forensic medical examination and judgement sentence?

Geno, under the "former administration" in your country, a lot of people received compulsory treatment in mental institutions just because they weren't good Communists. I would not want to see an American version of that.

Actually Geno thirty or forty years ago our Federal Supreme Court ruled that you can't lock up anyone in a mental institution unless he is a danger to others or himself. You can be free and crazy as long as you are not dangerous.

Geno, we once had a poster even more harmful to the site than the "present problem", in that he actually threatened other posters. Somehow, with comment from other posters, it was decided by the administator to wait and see how bad it would get. Oddly, he seems to have gotten his prescribed and unprescribed meds a bit under control and is not quite as abraisive as he once was. I recommend we adopt a wait and see attitude with the idiot of the month.
