Thanks pod I don't know what to say.

Spring finished and read to be sent back to Sam. Was thinking of color case hardening by either charcoal or torch...but then though better of it...and decided not to make this another post about torches and charcoal.

I've made the spring slightly thicker and 1mm longer on the lower arm..so that it can be fitted...nothing worse than making it too short!

Tony, I missed the last post that it's done. It looks good. I'll let you know how it fits and works.

Here's the finished product installed. I probably didn't spend more then 15-20 minutes fitting it.


At first I thought it was too stiff but once it was in I'd call it about right.

Ah! Excellent...I wondered how close I'd got blind. Great...hope it lasts...if not send it back and I'll weld it up.../wink

Remember springs bed in for a bit...I'd done a bit of bedding in before it left...1/4 then 1/2 then 3/4 pressure to bed it in.
