I have a question about the Briley fitted tube set. I'm thinking about getting a set of 410 tubes made for my Bernardelli Brescia 20 gauge hammergun. Is this a gun they could do that in? Would the inserts cause any wear to the barrels? I'm looking for any personal experience I can get before I call and bug them about it.
Thanks.
Winchester Levers, Double barrel Hammerguns, and single shots.

This is a very common installation. No wear, no problems. No modification to your gun.

I have a set of briley tubes for an over and under clays gun. It is really nose heavy from the extra weight of the tubes. The phrase "Pig on a snow shovel" applies.
Best,
Mike

410 tubes in a 20 gauge will add around a half pound of forward weight to your gun. that aint necessarily a bad thing...an alternative would be to shoot ultra lite 20 gauge loads, such as those available from rst...
keep it simple and keep it safe...

In years past, Briley would make tubes that were not "full barrel" length, if requested. That would basically eliminate the muzzle heavy feeling, though they would add weight to the central mass of the gun. The old Purbaugh(sp) short tubes offerred in Brownings were like that and worked quite well in all gauges. Don't know if Briley still offers that option.
