Hey guys, just a few more questions, yea right.
If you made prior arrangements with the outfitter is it possible to get 16 gauge ammo over there? And what type of airline gun case would you suggest?
The birds in general, is the hunting the same as in South Dakota or Kansas or are there some tricks they pull only in Africa?
I am not sure about the ammo. It could possibly be done I would think.
I used an Americase 3003
http://catalog.americase.com/shotgun-cases/3003-blk.aspxI liked it so I could store additional items with the guns. Below are some pictures of the case.

Each PH I am sure is going to be different to some degree. The guy I went with hunted very similar to the way I do at home here in ND. The main difference is the limit is higher, there is no sunset clause for shooting hours and there is no steel shot for waterfowl. He did say that we were the youngest and hardest hunting bunch he ever had for birds due to we were willing to walk so much. Many of the clients he had were much older and were not able to push it as hard. In order for drive type hunting I would suggest hunting with a PH who had more bird hunting clients at once or go in a larger group if you can. If not it is next to impossible to get good driven Guinea fowl shooting. I prefer to hunt in smaller groups and sacrifice that aspect. I still shot plenty of Guinea the way we did it. If you want feel free to pm me with any questions you have.
