Hello,

I just picked up a Miroku 12 ga O/U in excellent condition and would like to put an oil finish on the stock & forend but have no experience with removal of the buttstock from this action. I've not removed the buttplate yet as don't have my tools handy so therefore do not know if it's a throughbolt plus pins securing the stock. If anyone can provide the correct procedure to remove and reinstall the buttstock I would greatly appreciate the help.

The recent article on the Japanese gun trade in the summer DGJ inspired the purchase. This is Miroku-only marked gun with 28" bbls and a decent amount of scroll engraving on action and trigger guard. Forend is slim 'lightening' style secured with a Deely latch. Seems lighter than Citori Lightening in same configuration but have not weighed it yet. Looks to have been used very seldomly with only minor surface marks in wood that has pretty decent figure. Hoping to bring out a bit more with an oil finish...
