Back in the mid-80's, I attended a gun show in Gainsville, GA where I observed a Crown Grade LC Smith SBT that had, not only been chrome plated; but had it's vent rib barrel bobbed to 27" and it's beautiful stock shorted to about 12" and a Morgan adjustable pad added. As there were only 88 Crown Grade LC Smith SBT's ever produced, it was a "bargain" at the asking of $1,200. Especially given the fact that when it resurfaced at another gun show in the late 90's with a new adjusted asking price of $3,300. Thus far this is the only chrome plated SBT I've come across.
