well I've ordered a MEC 600 jnr and some claybuster wads (the Win 28HS type) I've got Winchester HS cases and some Hodgson Universal,Alliant Bluedot and Herco Win primers looking at loading 3/4oz target loads 1200fps I can find data for the Universal in the HS cases but not for Bluedot and Herco (only the older CF cases) any body know of loads or if there is a more up to date loading book I can get? I have the 4yth lyman edition does the 5th have any data for the HS cases?
anyone care to share there recipes for there favourite loads

3/4 oz #8 shot, 12 gr Green Dot, Claybuster wads. I use this load in any 28 ga 2 3/4" case I can get my hands on.
I have an adjustable charge bar in my MEC 600 and vary the shot charge a few pellets up or down to get a good crimp.
Works for me.

Thanks Mate I thought greendot may be a bit fast for a 28 I have a about 5Ibs of it in the cupboard might give some a run

12 gr Green dot is from the manual, smlekid, it's just right for my 12 gs and 28 ga target loads

I have always used 15 gr HErco with 3/4 oz in my 28 ga.
I had a LOT of it and it worked great.
