Were it mine, the FIRST thing I would do is get it to the Birmingham Proof House for a proper accident investigation. They will be able to tell you if it's a scrapper and, perhaps, provide a possible cause of the failure. Per its website:

"Many times a year weapons are sent to the Proof House to determine why they were damaged whilst in use and the staff will, on the customers behalf,examine such weapons and provide expert advice, backed up by photographs and related report on the most likely potential causes of failure. Such a service has proved to be of extreme importance in relation to later insurance claims."
