To be fair to Mr. Orlen, I think most of the complaints (such as they were) were relative to bluing work and the time he took. OTOH, I think people have been (near) uniformly positive on his bore and choke work. I can vouch for that; I sent him a French sxs with bore pitting issues to get his take on whether it was one to send back and he turned it around such that it was back in my hands within a week. On stock bending, I have not heard any negatives about him or his work.

Thanks for the clarifications about Mike Orlen's work. It was not my intent to be disparaging, but I did remember a long thread a while back in which at least a couple of campers were unhappy. I didn't recall the nature of the complaints.
Daryl: Yes, of course, Charlie P. In fact, I will be in Bozeman next week. Thanks for the reminder.

I'll add another vote of confidence for Mike Orlen. I've probably had him do 15 stocks for customers and myself, and about 50 choke alterations. Every one was superb.

Hi Doc,
In that photo they surely teamed up with the "leave the forcing cones alone" mob!

Clay, I had very good results with Paul Hodgins, Logan,UT.I dropped off the gun on the way to the winter show in Las Vegas and picked it uo on the way back. We'd arranged for that timing well in advance.

+1 for Mr. Orlen. Ben't a Parker Repro back to neutral cast for me inside of a week. A pleasure to talk to on the phone as well.
