A few years ago while on a pheasant hunt, I shot a bird and then tossed the empty paper hull to my buddy to smell after first taking a whiff myself. While standing there taking turns smelling that hull and waxing nostalgic about the good old days, another rooster went up practically from under our feet. We laughed ourselves silly. Took a few steps and another one went up! Click, empty chamber. I had forgotten to reload. That aroma will get you in trouble sometimes!
