Hello 1878,

I can't say I have ever seen one offered for sale, but I would think that web pages dealing with the making of high quality wooden furniture or specialist tool suppliers to that trade would be a good place to start.

You could always try 'Googleing' moisture gauge or variants of the title to see what you come up with. I would suggest you use the word 'timber' or 'wood' in the search phrase otherwise you'll get all sorts of hits that will be of no interest.

Alternatively, you could contact some of the stockmakers who frequent this Forum and ask them if they have one, and where they got it, or who made it.

(Just my 2 bucks worth what with inflation and all). Good luck.

Harry

I got mine several years ago off Ebay. Its a Delmhorst with probe pins and works great. The local guy near me that sells lumber for a living has both the pin type and the new type which you just set against the wood and while you run it the length of the wood, it provides readings. Here's the Delmhorst website. They seem to be one of the better ones out there for what I've heard.
