Lee Griffiths also deserves credit along with Ken. Lee has displayed Parkers in Gold Medal Concours competition at the Millbrook Vintage Cup and received at least one award from PGCA for his engraved Parker guns. Google him to view his website.

I like the car. There's a story there.

The floorplate scene is a flashback.

It's interesting, unusual, and just beautiful.

I like the floor plate scene also. It's obviously beautifully done as is all the engraving. I wouldn't doubt if it has a personal meaning to the owner.

One thing I would have done was to remove the 'L'&'R' from the trigger plate after converting(?) to double triggers and before finishing up the part.

Congrats on a very fine piece and don't let it sit and do nothing now..

Hi guys this is not an upgrade, it is a Parker Reproduction that I bought in the white and had custom engraved. The floorplate has mountains from around our hunting area. They were terraced by Lake Bonneville and have a unique, rounded shape that I had incorporated in the engraving. The old car reminds me of the old junk you find on a farm and the animals that use it as shelter. The L & R was just the way it came. Also I had the trigger gold plated because the original A-1s that I have seen in the DGJ had them. I tried to make the gun like the originals, but with a twist. As if Parker were still in business and making the gun to modern tastes. No flying turnips, but bulino.

The stock is the original Skeuse built A-1 Special Grade stock, "Made in Japan". I can't speak for the final finish.

I agree those screws should have been lined up and I think engraved to match the bottom plate screws....that really looks bad.

Maybe the L was left there for a purpose but surely could have easily been covered up.

The top of the Dolls head should have been engraved also.

With a few "in hOuse" corrections you'd have a really nice gun.
