This gun came into the shop a bit out of order. Usually a gun will go to the finisher before the engraver. Unfortunately It came to us last and we had to to final fit and finish after engraving. Typically a screw is timed, then the head is rounded over. That way you have something to hold on to in the lathe when you time the screw. These screws did not give me that option as the heads were already made. The L and R could and most likely should have been removed, but before the gun went to the engraver. As to the un-engraved screws, it is a Parker and that is the way they are, or did you not know that Mr. Cox?

If the new owner is not a side by side guy from childhood, maybe the "L" will remind him that the trigger with the "L" fires the left barrel! I still like the look of the unengraved doll's head.

Can't new screws be fitted if it is that important?!
As to the "L", big deal! smirk
The gun is basically a new "factory custom" gun, not a up grade. It's not counterfeit or being presented as something it's not. It is what it is, so why all the hand wringing?

Bill, I agree with you about the doll's head.

Beautiful gun with beautiful engraving. I like the themes and the execution. The Bulino is outstanding.

Thanks for sharing.

Best,

Mike

The only flaw in the gun is that it isn't in my safe nor will it ever be. Other than that, it looks dead solid perfect.

Beautiful gun with wonderful engraving and case coloring. I too would like to know how you "aged" the coloring. Thanks for the pictures.

Steve used toilet bowel cleaner to take off a lot of the color case. I like the finish better than a shinny receiver.

to age the colors I used 3 in 1 oil and rotten stone rubbed gently with a clean cotton cloth.
