Here is another response from the EPIC organizers:

the sporting clays course at Foxhall will be an all non-toxic shot course. Foxhall, with two miles of frontage on the Chattahoochee River, is the largest green community in Georgia, and the decision was made long ago to make the clays course green as well. Marty Fischer replied, Any modern shotgun will be able to handle the #7 steel target loads being used on the course with no problem. Many private ranges are now non-tox only. There will be lots of loaner firearms that can be used on the sporting clays course. The good news is that we do have the Fine Gun demo area where vintage guns will be able to shoot lead shot for this event only.

I think its incredibly poor judgement for them to have selected a venue for a public shoot that isn't suitable for for most shooters to use their own guns. I hope they will look elsewhere in the future.

By the way, the "green certification" is a designation of the National Assn of Home Builders and is part of their real estate pitch, not a designation of some state environmental agency.
