We thought you might like to see one of our board members new sxs. We finished the metal which had the bold scroll cut by Ken Hurst and the bulino which was cut by Lee Griffiths. The Color hardening was done by Classic guns and we distressed the colors. The rust blue and nitre blue was also done in house. The trigger guard and butplate were hot caustic blued.

Wow! Not another one like that. So many novel touches. The unengraved doll's head is especially a standout.

My guess is that the owner is a Texan. The bulino depicting the old car is not my cup of tea, but very impressive work by Ken. I like the distressed case colors.

Thanks for posting, Steve.

Very nicely executed!! I'd love to own this gun!!

I really like the feathers on the top lever & the balls.

I do agree with Plumber though the screws need to be aligned properly. I suspect they are in the wrong holes.

Stunning!

What were the reasons for distressing the case coloring and what did you do to distress them? Who did the conversion to double triggers?

Really nice to see "western" Quail engraved on it and the gold tracks and feathered fences are a nice touch. I could do without the car,(it may be significant to the owner) but what a beautiful upgrade.
What gauge?

Very nice job on everyone's end. The engraving by Ken is always great, as to the engravng, the taste of what the owner wants. The only thing I don't like is the gold triggers, makes it look cheap to me.
