There was a thread a few months back about NS disassembly. However, if it's working okay and just needs cleaning what I do is, after stripping it down to the point that treblig1958 discusses above, I soak the action overnight in a solvent such as gasoline or Coleman lantern fuel. After the internal gunk is softened sufficiently I take a spray can of automotive brake cleaner (with the long red plastic nozzel) and blast out any remaining gunk. I let the whole works dry for several hours (or blast it dry with compressed air) and then, using an oil can with an extended tip, I lubricate all the moving parts inside.
