A friend called me yesterday, asked if I wanted to take a look at a 20ga SxS that an old friend of his had willed to him. It is the best condition 78 year old that I have seen, no sign of any use, flawless 32 LPI checkering, engraving is flawless to my o;d eye. Looks to me like it is a Sauer model VIII. I don't know why the photos are double, it has taken me to many hous just to get this far and I can't go back now.
No makers name, the barrels are engraved in small block letters, lt. barrel H. N. SCOTT & rt. barrel Chicago, Illimois, H.N. SCOTT in gold on the trigger guard .
