Well, since you asked, I'd say the gun is pretty well perfect as it is. It's minimally engraved, but tastefully so, and the stock is appropriate to the gun. It looks great as is, in other words.
I would not go for case coloring, as things can happen during the process (I understand) and a few thousands can make a difference in the way a gun works.Plus a gun fades gracefully. That's part of its charm.
The stock is excellent as is. The instinct is to remove the plain stock and put something stunning in its place, but I think that would be a mistake and to my eye, the gun would be "overstocked." Overstocking a gun can draw too much attention to one part of the gun and thus take away from the rest. Right now, the gun is asthetically in balance. Fancy wood requires, IMO, more engraving than your gun has.
Plus all those things cost a LOT of money, and you'll end up with a gun that's not worth any more than the price you paid for it.

Is this the gun listed on gunsinternational by Cabelas at Sidney? If not, it's its identical twin.

My point exactly....kinda like putting a set of 20's on a Volksvagen.

Adam, if you find that you really like this shotgun and want to put your money in it, go for it. All the nay sayers are just looking at resale, not personal satisfaction. To me personal satisfaction comes first and that's what it is all about.

A 12 gauge Miroku at 6 1/2 lbs? That doesn't sound right maybe 7 1/2 lbs, at least. I always thought that those guns were always way too heavy for gauge.

I ended up sending the gun back as the barrels were off face.
