To those of you that may be interested, a few days ago I read in the shooting gazette an article concerning John Blanch & Son now being under new ownership, upon delving further and having looked at their website www.jblanchandson.co.uk I found out they were only based about 20 miles from where I live and owning a Blanch sidelock myself decided to pay them a visit, they've got a nice selection of second hand English guns and are apparently building new guns to order. Thought I'd share it as its nice to see another London gunmaker continuing in business.

The new owner is Mark Eeley. He purchased the company from Derek Arnold who had inherited the business many decades ago.
As Nelly says, he hopes to build new guns and is offering rebarrelling and re-stocking 'by the maker' to owners of J Blanch & Son guns.
I wish him all the very best of luck with his project.
Anybody wanting a bit of background info on J Blanch & Son guns could do worse than visit my web site www.jblanchdatabase.co.uk. It is getting a bit long in the tooth now but I like to think it still contains a lot of useful info.

Sorry I've only just managed to get back on, thank you Toby for filling in the gaps, I thought so too concerning the prices lagopus, nice guns too.
