Do you think there will be barrel regulation problems, POA or POI? I am in agreement they were cut.
Is there a way to figure value with the cut barrels? Or should this one be passed by?

If it where me,I would pass unless he drops price alot.Basically,I figure just about anything, off face, barrel blue, even wood finsih can be redone and very close to original and resellable state.Once the barrels are cut it can't.You are left with patterning them to see how bad it is or a thin wall choke (which would add say 500)to the gun which you would never get back. As far as POA or POI I suspect anything can be fixed but again what can what will you have when your done? Again thats just me,and I would be interested in others views. Neat indicatoor but with cut barrels its a pass (I would e suprised if it sold to anyone who knew abot them being cut at that price)

All this talk about choke tubes is crazy. What is wrong with cylinder and modified? Yes, the muzzle area needs to be dressed up a bit, a simple job. If the bores and wall thickness were OK, the barrel finish and stock looks fair to good at least. They actually look better than good. If the wood to metal fit is still good and the gun is on face and tight, all you need to do is make sure it works and start negotiating down to a bargain price. Yes, it's too expensive for a gun that will be hard to sell, but that clamshell action would be hard for me to pass up. With the 28 1/2 inch barrels, you should have no point of impact problems that were not present before the barrels were cut. I just bought a Sauer hammer drilling with no fewer issues than your gun and I couldn't be happier. How about that "Lindner Style" top lever?

Cylinder and modified is ideal---my guess---for most upland and waterfowl hunting and close to perfect for ducks over decoys.

Thanks for the replies. This is a tough one for me but the gun is so neat it is hard to walk away. I have no basis for judging its worth. What would you think it would be worth to you?

If you want to checker the solder at the end of the tubes it is very easy to do. all you need is a cork to lightly plug the barrel and a quality set of dividers to scribe the lines in the solder. Simply put one end of the divider in the center of the cork and visually space the lines. It is not deep so don't push to hard. Change the setup to the second barrel and make the cross hatch pattern. bill

I'd say $1000. It has to be resrored a bit, screw heads, bbls bluing, wood... It'll be very rare candy

How long are chokes that are left after barrel has been cut?

The right barrel is cylinder and the left barrel has about 1 1/2" of choke. My gut says the barrels were originally 30" and not metric length partly because the barrels are marked with patents for several countries including America. At 28 1/2" at present it would make the chokes originally 3" (maybe).
