Although I already voted Uncle Dan, I must say the old Remingtons are really well built. My 8.5lb 32" 1894 is built like a tank, and smacks targets farther than I should be shooting at them. It has very thick, broad shoulders too, much like Parkers in that regard. I love the sharp "clunk" it makes on closing too. Impressive.
I used to get rid of pest birds, sparrows, with the 10 bore Remington. I would wait till they were all perched on a fence line, stand at a slight angle to the fence, and let her buck. Once I took out nine with one shot. Yep those Remingtons have a distinct, solid "clunk" when you close them.
