Brown Sidelock Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 11,574 Likes: 167 Iowa	Regardless of the other marks on the flats, if the gun has 12 over a C inside a diamond rather than either 12-65 (for 2 1/2") or 12-70 (for 2 3/4"), then it was made prior to 1924. Sometimes the date code (if there is one) can be a bit confusing, because some of the letters look a lot alike.
