Marie and I will be there about noon on Thursday until Sunday after the Hammergun Challenge.

As CB mentioned above, we will have the Casa de Baumohl-Starlin-Dunlap set up and operational all weekend. Plan on having some good chow on hand as well. Saturday's special will be "Dillo Dusted Quail"!!

A lot of us have name tags while we walk around or shoot. Many of us have label makers. I suggest we put our "handles" on the tags so we can put together a name and face. I intend to be there and look forward to meeting many of you.

This will be my first trip to the Southern "Spring" Shoot. It'll be good to see you again, Dig. I plan to shoot a lot, visit a lot and just generally wear myself out for three days.

I'd like to try to qualify for the L.C. Smith Team. My only Smith now is choked full and full. Reckon it'll have to do.

Stayin' at the Jameson Inn.

Stan, when you see the birds, you will be quite satisfied with the chokes in your gun. I have not shot any other chokes other than full at the Challenge.

---I had initially hoped to attend and shoot some of my pre-1913 graded 12 bore Smiths- but rising gas prices and having to drive solo from West central MI to SC-so I'll miss the festivities- we don't have many quails in MI- and no dove season-- what is Dildo Dusted quail? Sounds intriguing, even to a Damn Yankee!!

Sounds like my 2E 12- rebarreled in Fulton in 1927 with 32" ventilated rib barrels and choked F&F-- I use a RST spreader load in the right barrel-I don't believe in messin' with the chokes the old masters put in 'em "back in the day"-- it is a great live pigeon gun- DT, AE- solid pad- fits me to a "T"!!
