About the only way to prove the originality on a Fox or Parker is to order a letter. No letter, not original. Rather common on D and C Grade Parkers. I have seen four or five that were lettered as original and have seen a couple of more orders for such guns but have not seen the guns. I own one Parker DH with original checkered cheeks. Parker's checkered cheeks are recessed and are not usually faked in the proper style. One notation in a Parker Brothers order for a D Grade is "Check sides of stock same as $200 gun.".
