Your opinion is based on what?
I am not a Winchester 24 fan,I have never owned one as I find them to be clunky and almost engineered as if 2 inexpensive single shots had been merged together.
I think we'd all like to hear some specifics to support your opinion.

A Boito 12 ga sxs, the ad said that skilled German gunsmiths moved to Brazil and re-created the guns of Suhl!
Well, they did not, I bought one as a cheap gun to keep in the truck , well the first shot I fired at a rabbit missed and the scond shot would not fire. The gun locked up and I could not get it open, nor operate the safety. I pulled the forend off, still could not open it. So I drove home with a loaded gun and left it with the gunshop who sold it to me after getting my money back.
The worst gun I ever owned by far, be warned the steel in those Boitos is as soft as cow poo on a June morning.

Boito hands down. A Model 24 is like a Purdey compared to the Boito.

Any gun maker can make a bad gun. It may be that they are new to the trade ,it may be that a new design or model dose not actualy work in production. The biggest problem is that they keep on making them. Some of the later Cogswell guns were truly appaling .I have also seen an Italian [Ithink] 410 O/U , whos name I can not remember , that I almost bought just to be a reminder of how bad things can actualy get.
I can not make to much comment on American made guns as my experience is limmeted ,but have any of you looked at some of the Fabarm SxS's?

Well, since the 24 action is as ugly as a mud fence and it's stocked to the action, I guess it's stocked to the fence.

I had a little 6 lb 20g 24 that I gave my brother-in-law to get him started in sxs guns for quail hunting. He still uses that gun occasionally. It is kinda a POS, but it goes bang when you pull the trigger, hits what it's pointed at, and doesn't blow up.

I am not a Model 24 fan either due to it's ugly lines and clunky handling but then I'm not a fan of Rosie O'Donnell either! eek
But on the other hand it's is a perfectly servicable gun based upon my experience with it and certainly does't belong in the "worlds worst" category.

Spanish big box store gun called the "Pride of Spain." Let's just say that POS was the initials of the name for a reason. My youngest brother had one and we were dancing in the streets when some idiot stole it from my parents' house.

Never owned a Model 24, but once had a chance to buy one in 16ga and always kinda regretted that I didn't. Just "out there" enough to be kinda cool, IMHO. Maybe it is the worst ever; don't know. But would still sorta like to own one.
