As an owner of a mod 100 20 ga (my 1st s x s ) I think it is a fair asking price for a good gum. mine has had many rounds through it with only one minor glitch. Had it since about 1975.
What else can you get for $1500.... a De Han? I'd rather have my SKB.

The biggest problem with an SKB may be replacement parts, but has anyone tried to order replacement parts from Turkey?

Jerry,

Replacement parts for an SKB? Do SKB's ever break? smile Seriously, SKB's actions have a great reputation.

Guns Unlimited may still have some parts. I think a lot of the bits and pieces from the more recent 385/485 guns would probably work in the older Ithaca imports. But as noted above, they don't break very often. Other than keeping the through-bolt tight to prevent cracks in the head of the stock, not much to worry about.

Re:SKB Parts,
Numrich has a pretty decent selection of SKB parts. I will 2nd LB regarding Guns Unlimited in, Omaha.
I'd think they would be a good resource regarding anything SKB.

GU in O-town does not have any parts. Hasn't had parts since I bought my first 505 from them in 1999. They sent everything back to Japan, it was explained to me at the time that that was part of the deal they had with SKB. If an older Ithaca/SKB broke, there was a guy up in Canada who bought all the parts and that was the guy you had to contact. Its been years since I've had his contact info, and I can't recall his name. I agree, the SKB is a great gun. I did own a pretty nice model 100 that had a terrible single trigger though, it was way messed up and never worked right. I'll just chalk that particular gun up as a lemon, it was most definately not indicative of other model 100's that I or my friends have owned, all of which have been 100% reliable.

SKB 100 20s don't carry a 100% premium around here. I've got 300 in mine; tight as a tick and no finish loss. 280s maybe; whipped like a rented mule they'll bring 6-700 so with a little condition 12 to 14.

How long ago did you buy it for $300, Jack? I'd say that would have been a serious steal on a very good 20ga Model 100 for at least the last 10 years.
