Kensal, sorry, not coming to the U.S. must be confused with some one else. We got rid of the Solialist Government at the last election. Rifle shooting is not too bad but pistol shooting is out unless you live in Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man where it is still legal. It was only banned in mainland England, Scotland and Wales. With .32 S&W Long being a pistol calibre no-one stocks it much but as Oldfarmer says, it is still used in humane killers for aminal destruction which is the only legal way of owning a pistol for use here.

Oldfarmer, I contacted Kranks who list Privi Partisan ammo in that calibre but they have none. He does have a dealer friend coming over from the Isle of Man, where pistol shooting is still legal, and he is to see if he can bring some stuff across if he has some. I have found some Remington ammunition in stock at Edgar Bros. Macclesfield and ordered 100 rounds plus some Sellier & Bellot bullets. You would faint at the price of loaded ammo in that calibre hence only 100 rounds, which should keep me going as I have some Lee dies on order from Tim Hannam.

Genelang, I should have no problems sending to the U.S. for brass as there is no restriction on importing that sort of thing into the U.K. but was hoping to track some down here in order to keep costs down.

Mike - Skeetex, it is .32 S&W Long that I require. There is no restriction at all for empty brass to come through Customs and I would gladly refund any costs incurred or send something in return. Some years ago; pre Blair, I used to load thousands of rounds of the stuff for a friend who shot competition pistol in that calibre. We were allowed some compensation for the enforced confiscation so I sent in my dies and brass for a small cash return. If I had been gifted with sufficient foresight I would have been o.k. I do have another Rook rifle in .360 No.5 but I can make ammo from .38 Special brass which is available because of its use in lever action rifles. Thanks one and all for your replies. Lagopus.....
