This has puzzled me in the past. As I understand things, the FN/Browning horn buttplates with their very defined and relatively complicated logos were formed from liquefied horn pressed in a mold. If that was the case, wouldn't the heat kill any worms? Or were they formed by cutting instead of pressing? Or some other method?
