I'm pestering him as much as I can without making him hate me!

The book was generally good- I enjoyed the period photos but a friend who is a real Hemingway aficionado had some issues with the accuracy of the text.

The rifle has some pretty serious pitting on the barrel & front sight base so the question is whether to refinish. I'm not worried about collector value as I'll likely never sell it but I do hate to tamper with history. I think a proper restoration would make for a nice little rifle but I'm still undecided. The bore looks great & the headspace is tight so mechanically, it's in great shape.
