New Englanders take note! We are having our 6th annual fun shoot at Addieville East Farm in Mapleville Rhode Island on Saturday May 14th with a rain date of the 15th for anyone interested. SxS preferred but we will not turn anyone away.Shooting starts at 9am 100 targets sporting clays then we have a cook what ya bring BBQ followed by 5 stand shooting. In years past it has been a great way to meet and shoot with fellow doublegun lovers. If you need further info contact me at ctdoubles@aol.com I will be happy to help...

Dave - that sounds like a great event. I am taking a group down two days before that so I am not sure I can make this year but hope to make it next year perhaps. Hope you get a big turnout.
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

I thought I'd bring this forward. Sounds like a good time. How many shooters do you usually get?
Hope to get there, Mal

Hi Mal,
It is a great time and I've been to every one of them. It started out with about eight of us and has suffered a couple of shakey years but it is gaining momentum and it looks like we should have roughly thirty shooters this time. Dave has put his heart and soul into this each year and we hope it continues to grow. It would be nice to see it grow into something like some of the other regional SXS shoots around the country. Hope to see you there. Dean

Thanks Dean! And also to you Mal for bringin this to the top. We have 30 confirmed shooters and I have no idea how many walk on's. The course has been set for SxS field guns and there are 6 golf cart's available on a first come ...first served basis.Weather looks good...so come on down and spend some quality shooting and BSing time with fellow doublegun nut's. Dave...

I was at Addieville today shooting my RBL28 on the SC course. Lots of great targets on that course, a lot that bear a good resemblance to upland bird shots and not too many gimmicks.
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

Remember to bring your own lunch, whatever that may be... burgers, dogs, bratwurst, chips, sodas (or the other fizzy stuff if you're done shooting for the day)There are two gas grilles and if everybody breaks for lunch at the same time it's first come - first served at the grilles too. It works out well if everybody is patient - remember, we're all there for the good times.
