FlyChamps, I went back and enlarged that photo and am now certain she's a rebounder. I can see the battered hammer end of the firing pin and those early hammers had deeply recessed cups identical to percussion hammers. The hammer is not touching the firing pin and won't when the gun is loaded and the pin is forced to retract. And most of these earlier guns did not have spring loaded firing pins, which is why the pin is protruding through the breech.
