Restock as stated in description. Condition of metal not relevant to originality of wood. Gun likely restocked to customer specs in a fancier stick of walnut. In my opinion, and to each his own, the new stock has too much figure going on and detracts from everthing else that is excellent about a D Grade despite the checkering being beautifully executed correctly to the grade. It is a beautiful piece of wood, I just would love to have seen the stocks that left the factory as they would likely have been chosen wisely to balance out the aesthetics.
