IF by "Tube profile" you're referring to the left barrel near the end of the chamber (as seen from below), that looks more like a bulge than anything else, at least until one looks at the side view and sees it's the groove. I think that octagon-to-groove looks like a prescription for a stress riser, which is probably why it's so uncommon to see.

I just tried to find Timner in my Neu Stockel and he is not in there. Is that because he was a dealer and not a maker?

BTW, I'll never understand how Stockel assembled all that information especially in the pre computer days.

Marc always stumbles across some very interesting sporting weapons for-sale. August Friedrich Wilhelm Timner for sure had some affluent clients as just about all of his peddled wares were upper rung. Locks pretty much give it away but the seller notes there are touchmarks that suggest it was sourced from the Boys Merkel and it was made in the 1st decade of the 20th century.
