Good Evening - Has anyone here any experience with an RBL Launch Edition shotgun (any size bore) which has a single trigger?
I've never had a single trigger on a shotgun . OOps, wait, I did own a Red Label many moons ago, but that has been IT. I am by nature a double trigger man and find single triggers on shotguns, including the aesthetics, suspicious.
I don't know why or where I've gotten this way. Maybe hearing one too many horrorstories on guns from the past that had flakey single triggers?
Anyway, I'd appreciate hearing from you folks on the subject as applied to the RBL's.

I have a 20ga that I shoot quite a bit with ST that works fine. The RBL trigger is based on a modern proven design. Unlike the ST guns that you hear have problems, CSM stands ready to make adjustments or repairs in unlikely event of any issue.
A Springer Spaniel, a 6# double and a fair day to hunt.

Both my Launch Edition 20 and my RBL12 Target have single triggers that work great. I used to be one of the double trigger purists until I started shooting Sporting Clays. Now all my shotguns except a Paker PHE 16 ga. have single triggers. I like 'em.

I am no smith but I don't think you will have a problem with a single trigger RBL. The reason is they are a through bolt design with metal at both the top and bottom of the wrist for the trigger system to rebound off. The problem with single triggers is usually found in many English designs where the single trigger mechanism is rebounding off of wood. Over time that wears and the single trigger starts to have problems or double. I may be a little off in the technical explanation but I believe the general idea is correct.
If you like dt why not look for an RBL with dt? Plenty of them out there.

I saw an early Launch Edition 20 on which the ST selector did not work right. Went back to CSMC, still did not work right. Don't know the final resolution of the problem. Can't say I've heard of any others.

I know of one of their new model 21s that had so many problems with the single trigger the customer gave up. Many trips back, no resolution.
I still think the single trigger is an answer to a question nobody asked.
