Yes I did cut 90deg. from the rib. The original pitch was 2 1/2" 'from the wall'. The reason I started at 0 deg. was that I can shim the butt plate out if need be, to reduce muzzle bounce.

The stock is still about a 1/2" to long, so I still have some room to play with, and adjusting the pitch back to original, will not cost me much in LOP. If that makes sense?
