Pretty interesting gun nonetheless. If the barrels truly match to the gun are in the stated condition, I would find it very attractive for an American gun. Simply have it color cased properly and it's good to go. I rather like it. Brent This is gonna cost me my stars isn't it? I think it is attractive also. Would like to buy it, or one like it, but have more important items on my list. I would sure hope it doesn't cost you stars! JWR

I avoided this gun when Ed1 had it listed on Gunbroker. For the simple fact of the torch to the sidelocks. This could be warped bad. Was probably a nice two barrel set till he got ahold of it.

Doncha find it a little difficult to believe a gun description when the word "Gauge" is misspelled?

We can ridicule him all we want (and I have joined in) but old Ed seems to be doing pretty well with a butane torch and a semmingly unending supply of "fools and their money".

Ed's real supply is tired old guns which he makes look less old to the un-educated buyer. Weither he has damaged the gun or not is open for debate, but trying to make a buyer think that the gun is restored is a bad joke or worse. Every person who reads one of these threads and learns what to look for has prooved that the BBS works as an information source. Knowledge save you money and helps you not get screwed by sellers like ED.

The picture makes me feel ILL.
The gun is actually pretty nice - and then this ...words fail me,... perhaps "cretin" or "barbarian" would work, but I will settle for the Anglo-Saxon "churl", this churl torches the metal.
Are the sideplates annealed? Has the metal been damaged? Plus, if Landers has done that on the outside, what does the INSIDE of the "restoration " look like? Has the hinge pin been peened or pricked? I would be very wary of any gun which has been under Master Gunsmith Ed Landers hand until it was blessed by someone like Kirk Merrington.
Plus- it just doesnt look right. Better no colors than torch faked. I must second Brent. Almost worth buying so it can be sent to Turnbull.
