Just a bit more engraving on the 2. Back when Stoeger was importing Bernies, the Uberto 1 was also known as the Gamecock. Both the 1 and the 2 are standard boxlocks, not sideplated like the Roma series guns.

For the money they may be the best buy on the market today. Expect a solid gun well built.

Last year I was in Texas with my daughter and walked into the Cabelas in FT. WORTH and there on the shotgun rack was a Stoeger Gamecock in TRUE like new condition for $500. 26 in. 12 ga. bored I.C./MOD, straight English Grip. I have an F.F.L. an asked for a dealer price and he said $425 and he would ship to my home in Georgia. Needless to say I almost broke my arm getting my Cabelas Preferred Visa out. When he saw that he said just make it an even $400. I smiled all the way home...the quail didn't last season! BTW...I also own a 112EM I bought brand new at a gun show 14 years ago for $675 that has decimated Pheasants at my small ranch in Montana.Love the Bernies!
