In all seriousness, Ballistix doth speaketh the truth.

I've been waiting since early November for a gun which I bought from him. Diggory kindly offered his help in shipping the gun. Unfortunately, he has met up with frustration after frustration ever since.

The best I can deduce from his emails is that customs (on BOTH sides, I think) have added jumbo-sized rolls of red tape in dealing with the shipment of new firearms versus antique. Different shipping statutes apply to each; taken together they're apparently the perfect picture of bureaucracy gone haywire. The old "one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing" type of situation.

Again, as much as I hate dragging him further into this quagmire, I'd have to say that Diggory (Smallbore) has the most up-to-date information on all these useless formalities and is THE man who can best explain what's going on in the world of US/UK gun shipment .

I apologize for my earlier cryptic (i.e. stupid) post. It was just one of those situations that begged to be jumped on in jest, albeit for the "amusement" of only the 3 people involved. It was selfish of me.

In closing, it may please you to know that I've been wearing the hair shirt for a few hours now and I've yet to find a comfort zone.
