As the Midland Gun efectivly when out of buisness In the early years of WWII ,it is safe to assume that the gun is pre 1940.

According to Boothroyd, Parker-Hale apparently bought the name after WWII and imported some guns that were stamped "Midland".

I beleive they also finished some Midland guns under the Parker Hale name. The name was reserrected to maket a number of imported guns .Mostly budget quality.

We got Parker Hale-marked Ugartecheas in the States. Wonder if it was the same in the UK.

Yes, it will be the same Parker-Hale. There is a 16 bore example for sale in my local gunshop in England. It must be a delux version as it has quite a lot of engraving. Lagopus.....

Midland was still in business on Bath Street In the late 1940,s & early 1950,s. At that time they were making some very nice single barrel guns for export to british Colonies in Africa. So called,chiefs guns. British Regulations of the day prohibited the sale of double guns to the indigenous people. For the record I was in their shop, and saw these guns.
