The Woodstock Tobin Catalogue of 1911, page 8, Pictures a hammerless Tobin gun with half/semi pistol grip stock. Replacement stocks offered on page 28 of this catalogue are said to be suitable for both pistol and half pistol grip stocks.
Tobin expert Mr Roy Thompson of Woodstock, confirms that Tobin Trap models are found engraved with a dogs head or with ducks in flight.In my experience The Tobin trap gun is more often seen with a full pistol grip.
For the record Mr Crandall carried on his business in Woodstock until his death circa 1950-1. Mr Crandalls son continued the business until the mid 1950,s
