Seen on his trade label, is an impressive four storey building, subdivided into a retail store and gun works.Mr Clarke claims to be a manufacturer of breech loading guns & revolvers, Hammerless Guns,Rook & Rabbit Rifles.
Mr Clarke also states that he is patronised by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales.
The adjacent "Bradgate Park", site of many"Big Shoots" in the Edwardian era makes this a plausible claim.
Records show H.Clarke in business from 1832and by 1908 listed as Henry Clarke and Son . Business closed in 1963.
