You've got it right and thanks for your post. I certainly believe I understood what Ms. Hoyt was telling me at the time. If the new historian has turned up contradictory information so be it. It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other as the only Colt shotgun I ever owned,an 1883, is long gone. I certainly don't feel there's any obligation on my part to "prove" anything. I also have nothing further to add to this discussion.
