I purchased some double shotguns that I can't find any information on. If someone could help me with where I might find information, I would appreciate it.
First one has this on the top of the barrels; A. Godefroid J Lejeune Fauve Succ Liege
next one; Eduard Kettner Coln Suhl Mechanische-Gewehrfabrik
third; Gustloff.Werke Waffenwerke Suhl Fluss-Stahl Krupp-Essen
fourth; Canon De Supete St Etienne
fifth; Ugartechea/Precision Sports, Cortland NY
Thanks for your help.

These are all Continental guns.

As I'm sure you know, the first one is Belgian, #2 & #3 are German, the fourth is French, and the last one is Spanish.

Do you have any pics of them? Do you know their details - gauges, barrel lengths, etc? I'd love to know more about them.

Kettner was a well-known German maker. Their guns are pretty common. Someone here will know more about him than I do.

Ugartechea is one of Spain's oldest shotgun makers, maybe the oldest. They're still making guns today and they're also pretty common.

I'll check and see if I can find some info on the other makers.

I would suggest that we take the guns one at a time.
Maybe start with the Kettner. It should be the easiest to pin down.
We will need as much info as possible and pics will go a long way in helping in helping you to understand the gun.
This could be both fun and may help others a bit.
Best,
John

I purchased them from an estate sale. I am sorry to say that the Kettner has after market engraving. It is not very good. The rest of the gun is in very good shape. It is a 16 gauge with 29 5/8" bbls. It states the bbls are nitro steel. Gold bead front sight and an old english pachmayr butt pad. Its serial number is in the 22

Go to http://doublegunshop.com/reid1.htm

This is a great source for guidance on what we need to help you.
Clear pics are a great help and they should not be too large (as these are). A clear pic of the barrel flats, the water table, the rib engraving and any other part of the gun that may have identifying marks or information.
We will get there, with patience and perseverance.
Best,
John
