I suppose they would be ok for a competition gun that had to be adjusted/repaired often, but on a field gun they look a little strange...ok,really strange.

I have handled a number of A10 as well as recently shot skeet with a friends new toy that he just received. I am not a fan of the look of the torex screws used on the recoil shoulders in particular as the do look out of place for some reason. Perhaps if they were engraved and fitted into the engraving pattern in some artistic arrangement, it would look better. However, I can not argue with the functionality of the arrangement. I am also not a fan of the laser checkering or laser engraving and I think the engraving in particular looks out of place on a gun that at the lowest was about $4K. At that price point, I would like tasteful hand engraving. On the other hand, the gun is very well made and handles well although a little "ponderous" like a K80. It tracks a target well and has very good triggers. The particular gun I shot had very nice wood, as most of the CSMC guns have. I shoot an SO4, which this looks similar to the A10, but the SO4 is much quicker (both good and bad for a target gun). I also recently got an F3 Blaser for sporting clays which is an excellent target gun but you either love or hate the design. Z

Tom 28ga - Great looking piece.
For those naysayers - find me another Sidelock O/U with these features and quality of wood, at the introductory prices. Goodness knows I don't need another O/U, but if I were to succumb to the temptation, this one would be it.

I was very tempted to order an A-10 with all the introductory discounts, but I was determined to wait until I could get one in my hands before buying. That turned out to be quite some wait.
But, after handling a few at the the Fall Southern SxS in SC, I decided to order a 12 ga. 32" Deluxe with exhibition Turkish wood and the optional gloss finish. Lou gave me a great price even though I was very late ordering.
Every day that passes I'm a little more satisfied that I've got an A-10 on the way. JR

As a Kolar Max TA Comp Trap owner, I see many similarities in the design, especially the lock up, and ejector design. It was very easy to disconnect the auto safety feature, and while at it, got to see the marvelous inletting and fitting of the furniture. I'm especially taken with the novel design of the ejectors and the ease of their installation & removal. The design, machining and fit is breathtaking. Interesting too, is the possibility that if the economy continues, that cool 24K Galazan emblem on the forend may one day exceed the value of the shotgun. best...mike
