Hi, I have recently aquired a nice German single shot with an engraved action configured in a Mauser style action that resembles a mauser model 1871 but to me the action looks smaller. It has double set triggers, octagon barrel, matted barrel top, open sights. The makers name or retailer is Louis Patel in Kassel. I'm wondering if this name is a retailer or the actual maker.
It is in 8.15X46 R
